this year I see
the beauty
of February
more clearly

peaceful
sky and trees
the gardens
rest and
I read

and the gardens
will grow

study window
evergreens and sky
November winds

late afternoon
leaves still green
in some wind and sun

shadows of tree branches
in light on a wall in my study

good to create
when we can
sometimes more
sometimes less
every year different

view at my desk
blue jay visits
the birch tree
